Just a little walk down memory lane as I gear up for release day tomorrow!! Sure, the pictures are fun, but I’m in awe of how God has worked in my heart and life through the years to get me to this point. It has been a dream since I was young to share music with the world, but it has not always been an easy road. Smiling for the camera when I was walking through one of the darkest seasons of my life was hard, y’all. In fact, I was wondering what the world would be like if I wasn’t in it and had many days that I sat curled up in the corner of the couch not wanting to be or do anything. Breathing, but not living.

When my “Another Mile” album was releasing, I was in the middle of a worship set at church when I heard the Holy Spirit whisper that my next releases were to be worship songs. That was in 2017. In 2018, I plugged into the @writingworship.co community and mentorship. Let me tell you, I had big ole boulders to move to get to a place of freedom in writing…voices of not being wanted, of worth, or good enough to be doing any of this. Believing the lies of the enemy became a way of life for me.

So here we are…seven years and a couple Christmas singles later, and I’m releasing my first worship song and am so honored to have @stacyriddlemusic singing with me. I don’t think Stacy and @jgjacksonmusic knew my back story when we were writing “No Name Is Greater,” and if I’m honest, I’m not sure I fully realized how far-reaching the song is in my life until these past few weeks. I’m trusting God will use it to encourage others whatever their circumstances may be 🙏🏻 And I’m so grateful He loves me and has me on the road to recovery.
